Animasyonlu anlatım
Çizgi film öğretmen this / that / these / those bu dersin kendi örnek cümleleriyle sahne sahne anlatır: tahtada formül, renk kodlu cümle parçaları, yanlış → doğru karşılaştırmaları. Anlatım İngilizcedir (İngiliz aksanı). İlk açılışta senaryo hazırlanır (~1 dk), sonra anında açılır.
this / that / these / those bir şeyi ya da kişiyi göstermek için kullanılır. Türkçedeki bu, şu, o, bunlar, şunlar gibidir. İngilizcede iki şeye dikkat ederiz: şey yakın mı, uzak mı? ve tek mi, çok mu?
| Tek (1) | Çok (2+) | |
|---|---|---|
| Yakın | this (bu) | these (bunlar) |
| Uzak | that (şu / o) | those (şunlar / onlar) |
A this / these: yakındaki şeyler

- tek şey → this is …
- çok şey → these are …
| Tek | Çok |
|---|---|
| This is my tea. | These are my keys. |
| This is my son. | These are my children. |
Türkçede 'bu' hem tek hem çok için olur: bu kitap, bu kitaplar. İngilizcede kelime değişir: this → these.
Telaffuz: this kısa 'i' ile (dis), these uzun 'i' ile (diiz) söylenir.

Şey uzakta (orada, karşıda) → that ya da those.
- tek şey → that is (konuşmada that's)
- çok şey → those are
| Yakın | Uzak |
|---|---|
| this (bu) | that (şu / o) |
| these (bunlar) | those (şunlar / onlar) |
Dikkat: that is → that's olur, ama these are ve those are kısaltılmaz.
