some / any / no
some / any / no
Animasyonlu anlatım
Çizgi film öğretmen some / any / no bu dersin kendi örnek cümleleriyle sahne sahne anlatır: tahtada formül, renk kodlu cümle parçaları, yanlış → doğru karşılaştırmaları. Anlatım İngilizcedir (İngiliz aksanı). İlk açılışta senaryo hazırlanır (~1 dk), sonra anında açılır.
some, any ve no, miktarı tam belli olmayan şeyler için kullanılır: biraz, birkaç, hiç.
A some: olumlu cümlelerde
Durum: Ayşe is in the kitchen. She opens the fridge. There's some cheese and there are some tomatoes. (Ayşe mutfakta. Buzdolabını açıyor. Biraz peynir ve birkaç domates var.)
Ayşe kaç domates olduğunu söylemiyor. Sadece 'var' diyor. → some
Kural: Olumlu cümlede, miktar belli değilse some kullanırız.
| Form | Örnek |
|---|---|
| some + çoğul isim | some tomatoes, some friends |
| some + sayılamayan isim | some cheese, some money |
- Türkçesi: birkaç (çoğul) / biraz (sayılamayan). Bazen Türkçede hiçbir kelime kullanmayız.
- Tekil sayılabilir isimle some kullanmayız → an apple / some apples.
- There's some milk in the fridge.Buzdolabında biraz süt var.milk sayılamaz → some milk
- I've got some bread for breakfast.Kahvaltı için ekmeğim var.Türkçede 'biraz' demeyebiliriz, İngilizcede some doğal.
- Mert has got some friends in Izmir.Mert'in İzmir'de birkaç arkadaşı var.
- We need some eggs.Biraz yumurtaya ihtiyacımız var.
- There are some people at the bus stop.Otobüs durağında birkaç kişi var.
- I want an apple. / I want some apples.Bir elma istiyorum. / Birkaç elma istiyorum.tekil → a/an, çoğul → some
B any: olumsuz cümleler ve sorular
Durum: Can wants to make tea. But there isn't any sugar. 'Have we got any milk?' he asks. (Can çay yapmak istiyor. Ama hiç şeker yok. 'Hiç sütümüz var mı?' diye soruyor.)
Kural: Olumsuz cümlede (not) ve soruda genelde any kullanırız.
| Örnek | |
|---|---|
| ✔ olumlu | There's some sugar. |
| ✘ olumsuz | There isn't any sugar. |
| ? soru | Is there any sugar? |
- Türkçedeki hiç … yok → not … any
- Türkçedeki hiç … var mı? → any … ?
- I haven't got any brothers.Hiç erkek kardeşim yok.
- There aren't any taxis in the street.Sokakta hiç taksi yok.
- We don't need any help, thanks.Hiç yardıma ihtiyacımız yok, teşekkürler.
- Are there any good restaurants near your office?Ofisinin yakınında iyi restoran var mı?
- Have you got any questions?Hiç sorunuz var mı?
- Is there any water in the bottle?Şişede hiç su var mı?
C some: teklif ve ricalarda
Durum: Elif'in babaannesi: 'Would you like some tea, dear?' Elif: 'Yes, please. And can I have some biscuits?' (Biraz çay ister misin canım? – Evet, lütfen. Biraz bisküvi alabilir miyim?)
Bunlar soru, ama any değil some var! Neden? Çünkü bunlar gerçek soru değil: biri ikram ediyor, diğeri rica ediyor. Cevabın 'evet' olmasını bekliyoruz.
Kural: Would you like…? (teklif) ve Can I have…? (rica) → some
| Gerçek soru (bilmiyorum) | Teklif / rica |
|---|---|
| Are there any biscuits? | Would you like some biscuits? |
| Is there any water? | Can I have some water? |
- Would you like some coffee?Biraz kahve ister misiniz?teklif → some
- Can I have some bread, please?Biraz ekmek alabilir miyim, lütfen?rica → some
- Would you like some help with your bags?Çantalarınız için yardım ister misiniz?
- Can I have some information about trains to Ankara?Ankara trenleri hakkında bilgi alabilir miyim?
- Have you got any biscuits? / Would you like some biscuits?Hiç bisküvin var mı? / Biraz bisküvi ister misin?soru → any; ikram → some
D no = not any
Durum: Zeynep is at the cash machine. Her card doesn't work. She has no money. = She hasn't got any money. (Zeynep bankamatikte. Kartı çalışmıyor. Hiç parası yok.)
Kural: no = not + any. no kullanınca fiil olumlu kalır.
| not … any | no |
|---|---|
| There isn't any milk. | There's no milk. |
| There aren't any buses. | There are no buses. |
| I haven't got any time. | I've got no time. |
⚠ Türkçede iki olumsuzluk birlikte olur: Hiç süt yok. İngilizcede tek olumsuzluk vardır: ya not … any ya da no. ✘ There isn't no milk.
- There's no sugar in my tea.Çayımda hiç şeker yok.
- We've got no bread. Can you buy some?Hiç ekmeğimiz yok. Biraz alabilir misin?
- There are no seats on the bus.Otobüste hiç boş koltuk yok.
- Sorry, I've got no time today.Üzgünüm, bugün hiç vaktim yok.= I haven't got any time.
- There are no buses after midnight.Gece yarısından sonra hiç otobüs yok.= There aren't any buses.
Kısa formül: ✔ olumlu → some | ✘ olumsuz ve ? soru → any | 🍵 Would you like… / Can I have… → some. no zaten 'hiç yok' demektir; yanına asla not koyma!
