will, going to or present continuous?
will mi, going to mu, present continuous mu?
Animasyonlu anlatım
Çizgi film öğretmen will, going to or present continuous? bu dersin kendi örnek cümleleriyle sahne sahne anlatır: tahtada formül, renk kodlu cümle parçaları, yanlış → doğru karşılaştırmaları. Anlatım İngilizcedir (İngiliz aksanı). İlk açılışta senaryo hazırlanır (~1 dk), sonra anında açılır.
İngilizcede gelecekten söz etmenin üç yaygın yolu var: will, be going to ve present continuous (am/is/are + -ing).
(will / going to)
Durum 1: Telefon çalıyor. Ayşe: “I'll answer it!” → Ayşe kararı şu anda, konuşurken veriyor.
Durum 2: Ayşe geçen ay karar verdi: “I'm going to learn Spanish.” → Karar önceden verilmiş, kafasında hazır.
Kural:
- Kararı konuşurken veriyorsan → will ('ll)
- Kararı daha önce verdiysen → be going to
| Durum | Form | Örnek |
|---|---|---|
| Karar şimdi | will ('ll) | It's cold. I'll close the window. |
| Karar önceden | be going to | I'm going to paint the kitchen this weekend. |
Teklif ederken ve söz verirken de will kullanırız: I'll help you. I won't forget.
- “There's no milk.” “Really? I'll get some from the shop.”“Süt yok.” “Gerçekten mi? Bakkaldan biraz alırım.”Karar şimdi verildi → will
- I've decided. I'm going to look for a new job.Karar verdim. Yeni bir iş arayacağım.Karar önceden → going to
- “Tea or coffee?” “Hmm… I'll have a tea, please.”“Çay mı kahve mi?” “Hmm… Çay alayım.”Menüye bakıp şimdi karar veriyor.
- Mert is going to sell his car. He told me yesterday.Mert arabasını satacak. Dün bana söyledi.
- “This box is heavy.” “Give it to me. I'll carry it.”“Bu kutu ağır.” “Bana ver. Ben taşırım.”Teklif → will
B Niyet mi, ayarlanmış plan mı? (going to / present continuous)
Durum 1: Elif is going to visit her aunt in İzmir this summer. → Niyeti var, ama gün belli değil.
Durum 2: Elif is flying to İzmir on Friday. She's got her ticket. → Bilet alınmış, gün belli. Plan ayarlanmış.
Kural:
- be going to = niyet, karar (kafamda)
- present continuous = kesinleşmiş plan (takvimde): bilet, randevu, başka biriyle sözleşme. Genelde zaman da söyleriz: tonight, on Friday, at 6.
| Form | Anlamı | Örnek |
|---|---|---|
| be going to | Niyet (kafamda) | I'm going to clean the flat. |
| present continuous | Ayarlandı (takvimde) | I'm seeing the dentist at 4. |
Dikkat: Ayarlanmış planlar için will genelde kullanılmaz. Hava, maç sonucu gibi ayarlanamayan şeyler için de present continuous kullanılmaz.
- We're having dinner with Zeynep's parents on Saturday.Cumartesi Zeynep'in ailesiyle akşam yemeği yiyoruz.Sözleşilmiş → present continuous
- I'm going to start running. Maybe next month.Koşmaya başlayacağım. Belki gelecek ay.Sadece niyet → going to

C Tahmin: will mi, going to mu?
Durum 1: Look at those black clouds! It's going to rain. → Kanıt şimdi gözümüzün önünde.
Durum 2: I think it will rain tomorrow. → Kanıt yok, sadece fikrim.
Kural:
- Şimdi bir işaret/kanıt görüyorsan → be going to
- Sadece düşünce, fikir, tahmin → will (çoğu zaman I think, I'm sure, probably, maybe ile)
| Neye dayanıyor? | Form | Örnek |
|---|---|---|
| Şimdiki kanıt | going to | Watch out! You're going to fall! |
| Fikrim | will | I think you'll like Bodrum. |
- Watch out! That glass is going to fall!Dikkat! O bardak düşecek!Bardağı masanın kenarında görüyoruz.

Kısa bir konuşma:
